I absolutely could not get used to the black springs when I first started on the 5x, so I then switched over to the red springs. While I did appreciate my time using those springs because they helped me get very familiar with the board, down the line I desired to have more carving capability, and more importantly, the ability to do s turns like how you can on a snowboard, which the red springs simply do not allow you to do. Not only do these blue springs give you the ability to do s turns, it gives you and the 5x the CLOSEST experience to riding on a snowboard on concrete PERIOD. It makes for a SENSATIONAL, STELLAR experience, and since I started using them, I’ve never gone back. I tried giving the black springs another chance not too long ago, but immediately went back to the blue springs because I still hate the feeling of the black springs, haha! Get these springs if you’re gonna get a 5x and they’re not included with it!
